Ive had a 7 for about 6 months now and I love it , pretty much perfect bar its limitations for frame bags.

what's it like? muddy or dusty? any new rad jumps?

Both muddy and dusty, although this time unlike mid last week I didn't need to clean the bike afterwards. Perhaps I got better at avoiding the boggy bits.

Where are Trek on the warranty spectrum, if we have Cannondale anchoring the "punch you in the face" end with Specialised at the "certainly sir" other?

Absolutely amazing maybe @jammy has some insights.

I had a Trek 8,000 BITD, bit put off by the socks and sandals image since then but with that said at my age socks and sandals are starting to look pretty appealing.

At least you can get fast socks

Excellent work here! I'm learning lots about MTBs and really enjoying myself. 7.5k views, 8 pages and no bike as of yet. Looks like it might be a full sus 29 with 120mm of travel, then custom Paul braze-ins to remove rear shock to make it a hardtail #fullsusisdead

We still have no idea what the budget is, other than whatever the 911 cost last month. Could be £2k, could be £20k.

I still have some of those. No cap tho.

My only experience was over 20 years ago, but Trek replaced my frame free of charge because of a potential issue (it was clicking but no break was obvious). I was impressed.

Why does the XTR hat have semi-mystical overtones whenever muddy-bikers discuss it?

XTR cap, It's like the Forum cap but for mountain bikers :)
