These are residential streets, with the alignment of The Fairway inevitably lending itself to rat-running. Unless there were parked cars close to the junction, the only visibility issue I can see is with the vegetation outside that seemingly abandoned or at least very neglected house. Of course, the driver may have been coming the other way. Perhaps @mespilus, our man in Ruislip, knows something about that spot?
