Endure 24: We made it to 33 laps. If we had been about 30 seconds faster I'd have made it out for a seventh lap taking the team total to 34. Sadly the runner before me missed the cut off after putting in an epic 34min (5 mile) lap - having already run 30 miles. Bit gutted but all 5 of us ran an ultra over the 24hours so good performance all round. We had someone on the course at all times and had seamless changeovers (if you saw the trouble some people were having you'd have thought it was hard to stand in the same spot every time).
I think we came 12th out of 50 teams in the male small team category. Given the team was cobbled together at the last minute I'll take that!
I had about 3hrs sleep, but did manage a shower after running the graveyard shift -
two laps finishing just after dawn. Oddly enough there were no queues at that time.
Feeling pretty wrecked now, more physically tired than after Thames Trot.
