  • @frank9755 this is interesting. Similar to tabr we’re talking about.

Bike frame cracks. Bike dealer then offers and does send watery frame during race to rider so swap onto.

    Support?

Ps. Don’t buy a kenisis. New crackondale.

That's pretty rotten luck. If that happens, you have lost a day so you are then basically touring.

Is it supported? I reckon not, but I had to think about it for a few minutes!

It certainly isn't if Kenesis would respond as quickly for every customer with a cracked frame.

If they are making a special effort for him, you could argue it was supported. But they would probably do the same for any other TAW rider who had a Kinesis frame which cracked so it is on equal terms with other Kinesis riders.

Is it equal with non-Kinesis riders? I'd say yes, because if their frame mfr/builder doesn't replace in the same way, they could have bought Kinesis for that service!

I've got a second-hand Kinesis. Frame is fine but, straight after I bought it, I found there was a recall on the forks as a guy had died from a failure

  • Yes. I’d argue that they’re being over a bit him being in the race. As it’s not good publicity.

But thought it was an interesting one to ask. Given the disparity in people’s opinions and the newness. It’s good to talk about these things to establish ‘case law’ if you will.
