I fell out of love with them a little because of it. I mean, why? That said, they did sell out of them overnight.
I suppose they are trying to cash in on these, which I think are really quite impressive. I'd quite like one of the wall clocks if I could justify 30,000 CHF on a clock!

I mean, the craftmanship that goes into a watch like this is staggering. I'd love one. Not sure I'd wear it though.

For me a watch is for wearing, I alternate my two frequently. I’d never buy something to put in a safe, no matter how impressive the engineering.

I’m 42, I would never wear any of those, it would be a case of voluntary dignicide.

Aw come on, how can you not admire the skills that go into a Fiona Kruger skull watch?
-
• #27791
Okay. I concede that point... and they do have an admirable boldness of design, although it’s lifted straight from a Mexican day of the dead parade...
All the others can burn. -

Yeah, not for me but if I was richer I'd have one in the watch box to look at. They're stunning.
I'm not ashamed to say I'd have one of her wall clocks in an instant though. The screaming jaw complication is the mutts nuts.

OK, so I'm liking this - https://www.chrono24.co.uk/tudor/prince-date---72000---ranger-dial---1997--id7900434.htm but for a similar price a speedmaster reduced seems to be more watch for the money? - then there is this one I'm to trying do a deal for around the £600 mark, is that too much? I don't really know what it is worth?

Quite a difference in price, how much do you want to spend? I’d say it’s better to pay over (or save longer) what you budget to have a watch you love rather than settle for a watch you kinda like but is easily affordable.
£600 for anything auto and Tudor seems reasonable but if you’re set on the more modern Ranger I’d wait.
I’ve been saving for a year now to get a really decent vintage watch, I’d always get to a grand then spunk it stupid stuff and I’m amazed how the process has helped me narrow down what I actually really really want. Condition is everything, patience, patience and more patience (I’m very impulsive so this is the hard bit). -

Sounds reasonable. But I doubt the Helson will need poising once serviced. It’s quite an involved process to poise a balance, and often not performed brilliantly. I’d prefer to leave a modern watch as it left the factory as far as poise is concerned.
Do share a pic for those not fortunate to be in that club!
