Is it possible to use too much rim tape? Got 4 layers on at the moment and it's still not quite seating properly, though my first two layers might have been too narrow.
If you need to use a boot, how in the name of god are you going to reseat the tyre out on the road? I am just barely managing with a track pump.
PS. No pingy snappy noise when I blast them with the track pump. Is that bad? These are bodgy non-tubeless rims - ghetto tubeless or whatever you want to call it.
Your rim is not made for this, so won’t have any kind of bead lock. This is pretty much the equivalent to asking why a mechanical groupset won’t work with Di2 cables.
