Hayfever

There's been a bit of sneezing and itchy eyes but we're talking an order of magnitude less than previous years.

Same for me, but I've done fuck all different, just taking my usual tablets.

Maybe there's just less pollen this year. Too many variables.

I dont think the big grasses have properly kicked in yet, give it 2 weeks (going off 2016 diary) and we'll probably all be on our knees weeping & wheezing as usual.

It is here at last & proving much stronger than Manchesters finest drizzle.

Time to revive this thread, unfortunately.

Right now grass and tree pollen are very high.

Sneezed a few times but fingers crossed it’s ok so far. The missus has got it bad tho.

The amount of damned plane tree crap in my mouth and eyes these past couple weeks....

Yes, the scratching my eyes all the time is starting to come back.

I’ve been dreadful, Acrivistine that worked last year seems ineffective and to top it our poor 1 year old lad has steaming eyes and nose, I really hope he’s not afflicted but it doesn’t look good.

Not sure if this is connected to hay fever but I went for a run the other day and just brushing grass made my legs go apeshit.

I feel terrible.

^ I get the rash when runnjng through grass but find running helps calm all the other symptoms so well worth the trade off.

Struggling most after allotment visits, unsurprisingly.

I had my first ever 'serious' reaction at the weekend, was actually quite scary.

Had had a few beers, and went for a midnight walk with a friend while in the lake district, cue sneezing 20+ in one minute, my eyes swelling up and not being able to see, coughing non stop.

Had to be guided back to the house and woke up the next morning with my face totally swollen and puffy.

Hi. I find exactly the same. I go running. Hayfever subsides and I feel really bright. Wish I could harness whatever is released during exercise (it's the same if I cycle), turn it into tablet form and I'd be a rich man.

I've just came here to moan.

I've sneezed 22 times in a row and my eyes sting.

I've had hayfever since I was about 15 (9 years) and this year is by far the worst I've ever been.

Absolutely no idea how you all survive in London with the pollution and pollen. A few summers ago, I went to central and lasted about 30 mins before I jumped back on the tube and went home, quite literally unbearable.

I've found Monster energy (or any ultra cold sugary drink) helps quite a bit, also spraying rose water on my face cools things down a little.

The last couple of days have been especially bad - for me at least

It is bad this year and I am trying to suffer quietly but people are being very annoying.

I just get excited to see dafodills appear and then...

Ride through the New Forest in the glorious sun yesterday, when I got home I was all bunged up, sneezy and irritated eyes.
Better start the antihistamines now...

Some of the fur trees near us are dumping pollen so hard it looks like smoke. My nose and throat are responding accordingly. It's March and I'm already on the pills. Ffs
