Is there a chance that she's been in contact with The Powers That Be and they've okayed her to crack on?

I'm awed by her resilience over the past many hours, and the fact she decided to press on after only 40minutes of rest, but I find this a little disappointing.
Slower or not, rules are rules and it doesn't seem like the first time she's missed a bit of the course.

I’m a tough critic. However I am consistent. I lost 10hours in tcr. Then another 2 backtracking once I’d sorted my wheels.
If you’ve come so far, why not finish properly. Does not matter if it’s a day or week late, the honour is the same.

Looks like she's not backtracking. Guess she's going to consider taking 17 hours to do what most people did in 90 minutes as enough of a penalty. Risky.
