  • I had the BB bearings replaced by the LBS on my SystemSix and since then it feels like there's more resistance to the cranks turning. Is this normal because my BB actually has functioning bearings or could it have been reassembled wrong/too much grease?

I've been back to my LBS tons with small niggles on my bikes (which they always sort out cheap or FOC) so I don't want to bother them again if it's not an issue.

  • Worn out bearings tend to spin better in the stand. New bearings tend to feel a bit draggy in the stand but when you ride, force through the pedals evens things out.

If something is wrong it tends to let you know by being noisy. See above...

  • Okay great - that seems to match my experience. There was a noise issue before and I took it back only for the LBS to realise a spacer was missing when it was reassembled.
