• y'know what if I lived in a place where there were space limitations I'd gladly go that way, two or three wheelsets and one custom Ti bike.

    1. Deep section 700c (dynamo)
    2. Shallow superlight 650b with road tyres (dynamo)
    3. MTB 650b

    11-36 on all with 46-30. /csb

I wonder why 26" isnt hip yet in the same trajectory.

  • That's exactly what I'm doing except no MTB wheels as I already have a real MTB. And can't afford deep wheels. Or dynamos. Or a custom Ti frame. Road/touring/whatever 700c wheel set, gravel/comfort/whatever 650b wheelset.

And both 1× and double cranksets, as I won't really need the range of 46/30 most rides

Edit: agree on 26" also. 2.25"×26" is the approx. the same wheel diameter as 700c×25mm so if you've got the clearance it won't affect geometry at all. You could have 700c×25mm, 650b×44mm and 2.25"×26" and pick and choose depending on what you're doing. Your bike is guaranteed to look stupid with at least one of those wheelsets though
