I’ve given up taking one. Left my bike outside supermarket in Italy last year, but that was really the only risky time. And it was fine.

Haven't you stopped at other supermarket? Or did you take your bike inside?

Normally petrol station or restaurant. Supermarket is only place it’s really out of visibility for more than a moment.
