I tried to get some black bar tape online yesterday. Both the pro team and classic are out of stock in black. First time I’ve looked so not sure if they come in and out of stock frequently, ie do I just need to set a stock notification and wait.

It has to be an approved kit by British Cycling which you can only do at the beginning of the year when registering the team.
You can see their approved kit on the top right of their club page
https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/club/profile/2858/rapha-cycling-clubCat 4 is the only level exempt from having to ride in approved kit.
"In Road and Track events, Youth, Fourth and Provisional category licence holders and BC non licence holders will be allowed to wear any suitable clothing whilst competing in events under the Technical Regulations of the Federation, including that bearing registered or unregistered advertising except in the case of National Championships when they must comply with T.R. 8.1.1 to 8.1.6."

From looking at results from crystal palace on BC there seems to be at least two 3rd cat riders racing who don't seem to have teams. I didn't think this was allowed but they seem to be racing so I guess they can wear whatever they want

Or as it’s a weekday evening race the commissar looks the other way, because they’re chilled out and not a nob, unlike a few of them.

I definitely raced last night, at crystal palace for RCC, and was definitely not in rcc kit
explain that one...

I think skinny did.
The rules are to prevent kit promoting unapproved teams. Wear plain kit and I don’t know of anyone being pulled up on that.
At least that’s how it functions out here in the SW.

Any how often the website is restocked?
Is it livestock?
Looking for gt shoes in 48 :-( -
• #31110
they're discontinued the GT shoes, so they're only available there

At a decent level race you’d be told to go and change or not race. Unless the comm was super kind, then it’d be a clip around the ear.
But the rules are clear. If some comms are ignoring them, that’s their decision and one that’s understandable at a low rank weekday evening race.

Ah. Ok. Any info if there be a new version coming?
Only been reading good stuff about them. Seen the ones on eBay. The seller seems to be doing a clearance for Rapha lol -
• #31113
He is and has been for a year. Some excellent deals if you’re an xs. Some good deals if you’re a medium. Ok deals if you’re an l or xl.
No Rapha backup and support of course. But he is reliable (in my and friends) experience. -

Good damn you Rapha, it's either a very good marketing ploy or a genuine mistake on their part. I've been recently unsubscribing from loads of things including Rapha. Received an email from them today apologising for an email that sent after I'd unsubscribed with a 25% discount code.
Just when I thought I had enough Rapah stuff, still needed a new pair of smart cycling city shorts.
