What size? I have a bob-yak knock-off you can borrow, will work for QR hubs or 9/16" 26tpi nutted hub.

What is the value of the chainline that Velobase uses as reference to recommend the BB length?
Velobase is comprised of "user generated content", so the BB quoted is whatever the poster thinks is correct. In practice (I assume) this is whatever the manufacturer specifies.
According to Sheldon, Shimano road double standard is 43.5mm "measured to the midpoint between the rings".
Try the unofficial chainline/BB thread.

Looking for a bike or my girlfriend, she's 164 cm tll, would a 55cm frame be to big?
Plan is to put risers on it if that matters..
Looking old at road bikes and not sure how the online charts translate to older bikes -
• #91805
Sounds a lot too big. I'm slightly taller and around 50-52 depending on the frame.

Almost certainly. You should probably be looking at something around 50cm in a classically proportioned road frame.

Can anyone recommend a good tool for removing centrelock discs?
Ideally it will fit my giant breaker bar. -
• #91811
Any decent cassette lockring tool, or external (old hollowtech/gxp) BB if it's one of the ones for through axles.

I bought a cheap one last night on the way home from work from halfords (yeah i know) and it doesn't fit over the locknuts/axle gubbins so I want to make sure that doesn't happen again!
Everything I see says cassette, but no mention of centerlock compatibility. -

The open core works well for bolted axles or thru-axles. -

I was working in Liverpool recently and loved it. Will pm you a really good list I was given by one of the air BnB s I stayed at. I'd suggest trying to stay near bold at as it's central and good for bars / restaurants.

Sefton Park, including the palm house. Nearby refreshments include Gelato on Lark Lane for ice cream, Handyman's Supermarket and the Craft Taproom on Smithdown Road for beers.
Baltic Triangle for bars, crazy golf and the Baltic Bakehouse.
Albert Dock for Museum of Liverpool, Tate, riverfront. Don't know when you are thinking of visiting, but the Clipper yacht race is expected to finish there around July 28th.
William Brown Street for world museum, Walker art gallery, and the Central Library (pretty cool architecture inside, to my untutored eye at least). Ship and Mitre pub is nearby, a perennial Camra favourite.
Anthony Gormley's Another Place at Crosby beach, red squirrel spotting a bit further up the coast at Formby. Both easily accessible by train. -

Goodison Park for chips (on shoulders).
don't have time nor tools at the mo :(
