Yes, when I did it I'd just got my legs back after having a nap (on the benches in the harbour at Tarbet in early morning sun) and really attacked it and enjoyed it. Was shot again when I got to Campbelltown, though!
Apparently it is the 'long and winding road' of the Beatles song. Linda Macartney had a place at the far end and Paul had to drive it loads of times, or something like that

With caravans and motorhomes booting through it was a bit stop start and we had to be careful on decents as people were driving to quickly for the road.
I've never felt so welcomed to an arrivee, we got a cheer when we walked into the pub and Graham made us feel like champions.
