This would make a venerable commuting/touring/ass kicking machine... that paint job looks like it's been burnished in the flames of mount doom.

Do you know which year this model is? I can't find any information on a model '525'. It would be interesting to know if this frame harks back to when Tange tubes were still drawn in Japan

I have no any information about the frame but when i bought it came with deore 550 groupset.

I checked some old pictures from the bike and The bike itself made in taiwan

Could you take close-ups of the Tange decals on the seattube and forks?
