I am having a hell of a time trying to get a tyre to seat straight - not something I've struggled with before. After about 3 hours yesterday of lubricating, inflating, deflating, pulling, pushing, swearing etc - I'm stumped. I also tried overinflating the tube to about 90psi (tyre rated max 60psi) which helped a little but I didn't have the guts to keep pumping.
There's about a 3 inch section on one side which stays tucked in to the rim. The only other solution I can think of is changing the width of the rim tape. Or burning the fucking thing.
Tyres are WTB Resolute 700x42 and the wheels Alex CDX4, for what it's worth.
