unless there's a load of fancy comms equipment, I'm struggling to understand why a car helmet should cost more than a couple of hundred... Supply and demand maybe?
+1 on trying plenty though. And spend a bit of time wearing the one you settle on around the shop. From a bike perspective having nice quality, wicking, removable liners is worth having.
Yes, because you can get trapped in a car that's on fire but you can't get trapped on a motorcycle that's on fire, or you can but it's much much harder.
