Ha! Was something like this in Caversham (Reading) about a dozen years ago, in a chalk pit. Stumbled on it and might still have a nokia phone pic of it somewhere. Was super-scary / home made rad and wobbly and never saw anyone riding it - will go back and see if it's still there this weekend.
