Also the flex on that front wheel, has that been damaged or is that how much a wheel flexes on impact?
-
• #18153
The brake's concealed behind the fork
-
• #18154
I think it is flexing at that point, it may have pinged back afterwards but I doubt it.

Maybe they’re Z-rims!
(If you’re old like me and rode bmx bikes in the 1980s you may remember them)

So are we just never going to get an after pic?

Sweatn'cur off to UAE? Seemed to be doing ok at Movistar...
-
• #18158
Is UAE the new Slipstream, where hopes and dreams go to die?
-
• #18159
What team were UAE before? Lampre? They were just as good at slipstream in the shit signing stakes if so. But ye. Strange signing policy for UAE and weird move from Betancur-I thought he was being allowed to train in Colombia etc to prevent him getting homesick and going off the rails again.

They pay alright though Aru get 2.5 million euro a year or there abouts.

Off the top of my head, some names I don't remember hearing much about since their move:
Dan Martin, Rui Costa, Kristoff, Swift, Ulissi -

Oh, isn't Atapuma there now too?

and Betancur in 2019 .. right @GwGs ?

I think Dan was ill for the classics. And hopefully we hear from him before and during the tour.
-
• #18165
He popped up in the Ardennes but was very short of form.
-
• #18166
Swift was 5th in the Worlds last year
-
• #18167
Ah yes good reminder. That was a stellar performance by swift.
I’m sure Dan had a complication that disrupted his early season.

He's riding the Dauphine
-
• #18169
Yeah. I meant get a result or let us know he’s there, by hear from him.
-
• #18170
well, it'd be nice if he popped onto the forum for some tips and to get his scoblebrick measurements updated.
-
• #18171
He might learn some racing skill too from or resident DS. Perhaps a daily check in, for his performance analysis and next stage tactics.
-
• #18172
Yeah long lumpy races definitely suit him, shoulda coulda woulda won MSR already, but for Demare.
-
• #18173
I wonder if he’ll win the worlds. I didn’t look at the course too much but think it might suit him. That would be bliss. Anyone but Valverde!
-
• #18174
I'd love to say yes, but Britain are mostly useless at the World's and I doubt they would make him the leader. Mind you pretty sure he wasn't protected last year but was the last man standing.

The course is far too hard for Swift. The British team will likely be led by Thomas (or Froome if he fancies a late season objective).
Since when were VC Venta a pro team?
