Just checked out the website gallery. There is some seriously good tattooing going on in that studio.

Anyone know what happened to Edek Qwerty? or where he went? Or if he changed the name of his Instagram?

Thanks Henry, appreciated. I am thinking of getting my first tattoo in almost three years at some point so looking at work again.. always liked him.

Dexter at King of Hearts in New Cross gets a two thumbs up from me. Professional, friendly, meticulous.
They really are a different cut from many other London shops I've been in. No airs of pretension whatsoever.

Yeah his stuff is cool. He's often guesting at The Circle.

Similarly, could not recommend highly enough. All of the staff there, lovely.
Dexter especially. -

Booked myself in for a consultation off the back of your tattoo, been following him for a while, had to cancel as first born decided to start arriving on that day. All this talk of dexter makes me need to rebook asap..

Still, worse reasons to postpone!
How's the little one doing? -

has anyone used E45 cream for first stage healing?
-
• #11365
Yeah, it was fine.

It's been good so far, cheers. Better than Bepanthen.
Does anyone have recommendations for reducing itchiness? I've taken an antihistamine as my skin felt like it was boiling at times yesterday
-

don't let it dry out, don't let clothes rub against it. But otherwise you've got to power on through, it'll only last a few days at the itchy stage.
Depanthen isn't as good these days, they changed the formula. Palmers Cocoa Butter (unscented) is my favourite.
I use a different method to most people for healing tattoos. I'll keep it covered by cling for the first week, changing a couple of times a day and keeping it moisturised. That way it never dries out enough to get itchy/scabby and I don't need to worry about clothes rubbing it.

I'm sure you know this, but just slap it.
Also, I did what Sumo said but slightly differently. I clingfilmed for the first day or two but then instead of moisturising I just got it wet whenever it felt a little dry. Never really itched and healed faster than using ointments. I always found that ointments would make it too moist and it'd take far longer to heal than the wetting method.

I started making my own formula:
Shea/coconut/sudocrem. Super nice.
Bonus antiseptic as well -

Palmers is my go to for sure.
My boy tattooed the back of my head yesterday.

It feels like the itch is coming from the swollen parts of my arms rather than the tattoo itself. They're all puffed up, and when I squeeze the puffy parts, my fingers make indents in my skin that stay for a while. Very swollen and hard.

Also I'm getting spots from the shaving.
Remind me why I do this fucking thing again...
-
• #11373
Have you had it out in the sun? I’ve never had a reaction like that, maybe infected?
-
• #11374
Agreed, sounds way nasty, like you need some drugs for it

Nah, it's happened before.
I like the mountainous bit
