that's what I used to do with my apidura frame bag – bought for camping trips but then ended up using it every day instead of a messenger bag. Only stopped coz I have a shorter commute now, there aren't really any downsides. If I needed to carry something extra I used a roadrunner burrito bag up front, but that rarely happened

As a commuter bag, something like a sqr mounted carradice is much better as it's easy to remove from the bike

I order one to have a butcher, for the money I’m a little impressed, and the fact it can be extended for touring.

I am thinking of getting the Blackburn Outpost frame bag for carrying rain jacket, work clothes and lunch box for commute- any pros cons etc.?
Will also use for biking adventures when the opportunity arises
