Mrs Hammer just poured 250ml of engine oil into the power steering reservoir because it said ‘oil only’ on the lid. Only called me because more wouldn’t fit. Fingers crossed the RAC will recover her for free but I have a feeling this is going to be expensive...
On that note, any recommended BMW garages in the Woodford area?

Amazing.

Should do, they normally only charge for incorrect fuel or accidents, could even possibly flush and replace the fluid themselves for the cost of the fluid.

After much debate and a few hours of waiting, turns out they can't fix it at the roadside so she's being recovered, probably after a further lengthy wait. They also charge for 'driver induced faults', so that's £100 gone immediately!
