I wouldn't want any more power than sadaat has in its current set up tbh, its already a bit too binary as it is. I can see the logic in trying to bring the power in more gradually though.

Meh, it's just discussion, I haven't got the money to make it faster at the moment, but it's interesting for me. I appreciate that others might be insanely bored of hearing about it, so I apologise. WRT buying a V8 rwd estate, I'm not keen at the moment, and I'm in no rush to sell the Volvo, spending money on cars isn't something I do with a clear end goal in mind, it's something I do because I like modifying cars and I enjoy the journey and the progression. Not doing that and saving the money instead is quite an alien concept to me.

All these discussions on how to make the Volvo faster are interesting, but eventually you know that you're just going to do what its previous owner did, which is to buy an rwd estate with a dirty great V8.
Might as well start saving for that now rather than waste the money souping up the T5 any further.
