Well that was a lot of fun, despite the horrid mud section on the second day. Very very glad I went for the 29er not Pompino. I pitied the people doing it on cross bikes.
I can barely walk up the stairs today!

Awesome awesome ride. Carried on yesterday having started the ride two days early. Now on a train back to London. Already mourning the weekend. One of the best/toughest weekends riding in my life.
We did it on cross/gravel bikes. It was fine.
Bar the bent hanger. Broken hanger. 3 broken chains and having to push my mate the last five miles.
Not a word I use lightly but really was an epic weekend. Recommended to anyone who's never done it. Bring on Next year.
This is how I pretty much felt all weekend.

Cross bike wasn't so bad, only thought I was going to break some bones on a couple of occasions :D
Tamer, hah...
It's a bit of a mixed bag. Day 1 is about 5 miles longer than day 2. Day 2 also has less sketchy stuff, but watch out on the final descent from Old Harry into Swanage, past the cows on the chalky descent down the grassy hill: That's where one of my companions for the final leg two years ago washed out on a 35mm CX tyre and broke his femur. Waiting for the ambulance and the Army evac guy is how I got DFL and won a Straggler frameset.
