I still reckon it's worth replacing that post, how far into the st does it go? Past the top tube?

almost i think , hard to tell. The inside of seat tube is flush with no cut out where top tube is . With a turbo on, it's meets minimum insertion limit.

For the seatpost, not the frame. Most seat tubes don't extend that high. Really you'd want to be going at least an inch past the minimum limit in my opinion
