two thumbs up for WTB resolutes. Great for gravel, good on road, and coped with some savage Slovakian mud pretty good too.
Would recommend.

Narrow flatbars seems like the worst of two worlds. Just don't

You've never raced, have you?
Your opinion is fucking irrelevant if so.

I'm still hanging here...
-
• #4083
Yeah, I've been out on a bike today. And then family stuff and etc etc, I'll take it to a shop.

Your opinion of me is fucking irrelevant.
You’re not even new here, when is anyone serious? I was purely getting children like you to spit their dummy

Yeah it was a cracker. Check out @nomad_cycling on Instagram, we rode it together and he was in charge of photos.

You're calling Andy a child? The impression you present of yourself generally is barely-mature, with an opinion on everything and knowledge of little

Nearly 400km of mixed road, gravel and for some stupid reason, hiking trail, the Arkose is excellent especially on 650b with 48mm tyres.

Opinions are like arse holes, everyone’s got one.
(But I don’t care to see yours)
-
• #4092
Unfortunately it would seem you're almost entirely arsehole, so it's a bit skewed for the rest of us.

It’s a shame you think so, I’m a nice guy offline.

For what it’s worth, I was joking about CX...
-
• #4095
Probably, so it would just be nice if you toned it down a bit online sometimes.
That flite I bought off you is still going strong, cheers.

Also interested as to the location of the gravel valley, it looks awesome.
I think I found the route on Strava, search for "nomad cycling" -

I bet the bothy is Moel Prysgau, not sure about anything else. Can you like the Strava GPS?

We stayed at Nant Rhys bothy. It’s basically in a valley adjacent to the A44. We headed west from Llanidloes and hung a left at Pant Mawr straight onto gravel tracks. It then took us around 2.5 hours and what felt like around 4-5000 ft of climbing to get to the damn thing. The whole area is a huge logging site, big double trucks are the only vehicles we saw there. Thats a lie actually, we bumped into a guy doing solo maintenance on a wind turbine up the top. He was very suprised to see is up there and was very interested in out setups. I don’t do Strava but my mate told me that the climbing to find the bothy actually took us to our highest point over the four days. In the morning we studied the map and managed to find out way out and came out about 5 miles above the Devils Bridge on the B4574, but again a lot of climbing. It was so much fun that we are going to go back and explore again at some point. Looking at the map there seems to be a whole load more routes out to the east. It was like a ready made gravel park with a free place to stay.
The route should be up on Nomad Cycling on Strava. This link mentions it also i believe.

I like the looks of a narrow flat bar (50 cm-ish) on a CX/gravel-frame. Also almost never spending time in the drops and it's cheaper to get compatible MTB drivetrain parts. Started talking about it with a friend who considered getting a narrow bar hybrid some days ago, and the idea has grown on me.
