Most of the Dia Compe levers the lever part is interchangable so if you buy a 77 and a 99 you can swap bits to get a 31.8mm 77.

Ok nice

Why are you putting the brake lever so close to the centre of the bars that you need a 31.8 lever?
-
• #6
Because the drop bars are pretty much oval/flat up to the point of the stem

Am I understanding that the Dia compe levers are interchangeable with different radius bars cause that could be an option.

Cane Creek cross tops in 31.8 should do the trick? Nice and minimalist, I’ve got them on three of my bikes.

Second the Cane Creek crosstops. You can hardly notice it with black bar tape. Tektro do them as well but I haven’t seen one in real life.

They're only sold as a pair. I only want 1.

The lever has 2 parts the one that clamps onto the bar and the moving part, you can swap them so another shape moving part goes on the larger size clamping part.

I have a used pair you can have for £12 instead of £25, that any use?

No worries!
So I got my Cinelli Vai drop bars for my single speed and forgot that i'll need a 31.8mm brake lever. Looking on the web, Dia Compe Tech 99 gold finger do one from Wiggle @ £19.99. This looks good quality but a little in yer face. Any alternatives you people recommend?
Thanks.............................dennis
