Carapaz needs over a minute on López so at some point, he’s going to Be playing games and attacking, which isn’t great for Dumoulin.
Pinot needs 1m40 on Pozzovivo group to go into 3rd at the end of today, so in his team’s interest to push the gap.

Carapaz and Lopez better hope they never need a favour from Dumoulin or Pinot. I'm amazed they aren't taking soft turns at least.
