Actually those headtubes aren't that small compared to the top tube.. At least in my size, size 57, the toptube is 575mm and headtube 180mm.
If you put that next to a diverge, which in my opinion is a pretty relaxed geometry, the 575mm toptube gives you a 190mm headtube. Only a 10mm difference. And you get a vulcano spacer/dust cover as well..

My bad! Was just comparing headtube to toptube.
Still pretty typical for a full on road bike if you ask me.. My bike has a 403mm reach with a 562mm stack.

Is the frame anodised blue or is paint?
I don't mind the spacers. Better than trying to achieve dat pro look and giving yourself a slipped disc.
