I'm riding in the Hounslow but no expectations of any special time.
However, another rider to watch out for is 116 Rimas Grigenas. He's a quick audax rider who has done a couple of TCRs. It's only his second TT so he has no form, but his first one was the 24 a couple of years ago when he did 480. He beat Rob Bulleyment by 20 miles that day. But Rob is in top form now so will be interesting to see who is faster of the two. Rob will be on fixed.
Hounslow 100
Another spectating opportunity for those out riding west of London this Sunday.
The course is the usual Farnham - Alton A31 road with the HQ at Bentley Memorial Hall.
First man off is the promoting club's Les Howson at 7.45 am - there are 75 riders.
Competitors worth watching out for are:
Alice Lethbridge (no.50) the current women's champion and comp.record holder.(qualifying time 3.42.37.)
Charles Mitchell (no. 120) fastest man in the field with a q. time of 3.31.24.
Andrew Meliak (no. 110) second fastest on paper with a q. time of 3.38.04.
Rob Bullyment (117) mentioned on this forum in the past -sometimes rides fixed, q. time 4.0.27.
Richard Claxton (64) At 74 years of age almost the oldest man in the field (Mick Fountain, 77 years, no.46). Richard usually rides fixed with no concessions to aerodynamics - q. time 4.47.04 - he deserves a cheer!
I hope to see you somewhere out on the course.
