I don't know, I guess I overheard someone saying half-term and assumed the lack of traffic was due to it. I only know Aussie school holidays and even that memory is pretty hazy.

Recommend putting them on a calendar and book holidays abroad the week before to avoid tho 100% premium that applies in half term weeks.

That's a good idea. Since I've been racing silly long stuff mid-summer my other travel has been around that anyway for the last few years. Next year I think I'll go back to being a bit more 'normal'.
