I can see what you're saying but I don't think that way...

I think part of the reason I appreciate it is because it feels like a decent progression of the marine chronometer inspired watch. I've seen so many watches with wire frame hands and the bevelled case that just don't work.

Not many people could pull off a watch like that. Somebody with the title of Prince of Wales is probably one of the few.

A Calatrava would have been much classier.
