Function over form. If it's actually really fast who cares what it looks like?

You know you're in anti, right?
-
• #43635
Yeah. But that's my point. Ugliness can be forgiven if it's necessary. One could argue gears, brakes, bottle cages, etc. are ugly but they serve a necessary purpose so we put up with them.
If you need a bike that is faster than anything else and that shape of frame is the fastest possible, then that's what your bike has to look like. Get me?

There should be a functional bike thread, where nobody cares what the bikes look like.
-
• #43637
Haha, that bike would go down like a lead balloon in that thread. It's not really for any old functional bike, it's a specific category of porteur/romanceur/commuter/tourer/whatever bikes
I'd probably choose to ride nearly any other bike before I jumped on that thing
Well anyway that's my worthless opinion of the day, thanks for being a part of it guys

Whats the point of those aero fairing bits poking down from the bars?

I think they are like the drops on dropbars..

They are pretty nasty. Also not sure I understand why they went with EBB and vertical drops.

The sweet fixie baby blue chain, turquoise Rolls saddle, fluoro pink tape, leftover cables, Michelin tyres with a blue strip - all in the parts box for years and hard to get rid of...
This is the beautiful result, available to purchase.
Check out the chinese branding on the levers...
@Scilly.Suffolk would approve of this colour scheme.

Yes there's some really ugly, overdesigned shit in there, a rich seam of anti in functional.

Sounds about right. Pedersens are always going to be pricey compared with diamond frames, but some people like them.
