I did this last week.
Second time it's happened to me, luckily both times have been gently starting or gently stopping. Mine was a Raleigh as well.
Too ripped.

chain sliped out for some reason, then got forced by a mercedes next to me to carry on stright wo time to reach for my brakes and went stright into a back of a white van infront of me, bend frame in 2 places...then some heartless bastard saved me the troble of worrying what to do with it by stealing it..

Last night, 5km from the Hook of Holland and after riding from Amsterdam through a gale, my rear derailleur somehow got torn apart leaving me to walk in the pouring rain, wind and darkness cursing my piece of shit bike. No idea how it happened. In the light of day I could see the chain was wrapped around the BB shell so maybe it came off, jammed and pulled the mech until it broke. Don't know how all that happened without me noticing. Major pain in the neck. If anybody wants a ruined derailleur for spares or has a replacement please PM me.

Is that a Ti frame?!

It is. It's seen much better days. This is why fixed > gears.

I noticed my bike was feeling strange, and weirdly flexy. Looked down an noticed this gaping crack, from the top of the BB shell, up and around the drive-side down tube, and then back down underneath.
wtf? What would cause this kind of failure? Over tightened BB cups? Phenomenal leg power? Faulty manufacturing?
what frame is that? not a condor is it?

I had an almost identical crack on a Van Nicholas. I put it down to extreme power. They said manufacturing fault and warrantied it.

It's a 2006 fuji roubaix pro
In Europe, fuji only give a 2 or 3 year warranty on their f&f's. Luckily I bought it in America, where their f&f's come with a lifetime warranty, but that means I'd have to pay a few hundred to get it there and back. So I think it's just a right off unfortunately.

parcel2go.com Its like laterooms/lastminute.com but for parcels!
I just sent a package to the US, weighed about 12kg, insured to £1500, fairly fragile, went via UPS for under £30 inc vat!
Customs form might be tricky, guess be honest 'warranty return', they can't charge you for that, just be sure to put your number on it if they get confused though. -

Ooh, thanks for the tip!

I'm slightly proud, given my general rubbishness at destroying bikes and bits, that I finally managed to strip the thread on one side of my eleven year-old rear hub today. The other side is barely used, so here's to another ten years. Perhaps. Unless I improve my game.
