How do the batteries work with the frame? Do they attach on somewhere or is there a way to hide them at all?

The little tube with the batteries go inside the handlebars and the controller is placed upon the handlebars.

Just mounted the PMP Titanium seatpost upon the white Somec. First had to ream all the paint out of the seattube to make it fit nicely.
