The fork is definitely different, perhaps it's columbus and not cinelli anymore? (after all Cinelli do make their own fork).
Frame still look awfully similar to the Parallex (similar, not identical), can see track end and similar chainstay too.

Probably late to the party but have just seen the 2018 Tipo colours, the orange is certainly strong..
Friend is after a bike that can SS and do the odd bit of track, seems like a great choice?

New Mash aluminium is using Columbus tubing so its essentially still made by Cinelli...

Kinda, likely to be in same factory, a lots of brand usually share the same factory with other, BMC (before they become Bicycle Manufacturer Company) for instance used to make a lots of frames for companies before Tawian et all started to look more economical.

They're essentially under the same roof - both owned by Gruppp SRL...http://www.bike-eu.com/home/nieuws/2007/04/gruppo-re-launches-cinelli-columbus-1018166

So they've taken all their paint jobs and then 'Mash'ed them to shit?

I'm still not a huge fan of those welds. Is that necessary for structural reasons?
-
• #4213
Probably just a cheaper finish

This doesn’t get used very much, since the IF and the gangsta arrived but it’s still ace and got some miles yesterday. Thinking I might drop it into commuter duties during the summer

Anyone have a recessed brake bolt for a Parallax lying around? I'm trying to fit a front brake and I can't find the one that came with the frame. Vigorelli etc may also fit
Everything I have is too short!

Looks like my Parallax might have something a bit off/bent on the rear.
When trying to tighten rear wheel and center it between chain stays and seat stays, it’s always off by 1cm.
To me, it looks like the left drop out is a bit bent inwards, but not 100% sure.
It’s not a wheel, tried 2 wheelsets (one professionally trued at LBS) and it’s doing it on both.
Any reccomendations/ideas?
Took some pics, but they don’t show much...

left side looks bent as you suggest.
Straight edge, metal ruler along faces of dropout, it should sit square on ruler, compare both sides with wheel out. Also check spacing between dropouts along the length of the axle slot, this should be constant and parralell. That should confirm things, can compare against other owners frames then.
