SRAM say it’s the same so I’d be interested to see where you’ve seen it’s different and why they work perfectly together for so many people if it’s true

Sram don't say it's the same though either. It's the same theory. Nothing is listed as compatible with both on the SRAM website.

If this stuff is coming out of a parts bin could you not just stick it on and give it a go? You'll soon find out.

When we launched our road technology from scratch we reapplied our MTB proven SRAM 1:1 actuation ratio

That doesn't say we reapplied the theory to me
