I’m sorry but I bought the frame set on here for £260, ultegra so group £300 is fair, Columbus for is brand new basically £130, wheels surely fetch £80 with the rubber
This totals £770.
the finishing kit is lovely and tailored towards the bike £90,
What you paid for the finishing kit has no bearing on what it is now worth.
bar tape, saddle and full strip, degrease and rebuild, surely worth another £80, yeah pedals £30
It's a saddle and bar tape worth a few pounds.
The majority of people on the forum can strip a bike and put it back together and you cannot factor this into the bike value. -

Fella - stop bigging this bike up with buzzwords like "bind", "mate" and "piloted". We know what we're looking at.
This is the wrong market for that price. It might fetch something closer to a grand on eBay (and cost you a tonne in the process) but not on here. Bundling parts reduces the combined value because you increase the chance that a given part isn't really what the buyer wants.
Take the cranks and chainring for example. Any buyer here would be happy with Ultegra, so asking them to stump up more for a non-optional "upgrade" isn't gonna fly. Now apply that logic across the bike.
I've been posting in here for 8 years and it's always been the case. People on here don't buy expensive complete bikes.

Gone

No need for it twice

Fizzy is right, you’re kidding yourself with that valuation. If you split you might get 800. Like if you wanted a full bike you could have probably got last years ultegra caad12 for 1200. No one is suggesting it isn’t a nice bike, just you’re not going to get back anything near what you put into it.

It’s defo a lovely bike dude - no two ways about it but I am with everyone here i’d just keep it if you cherish/value it that highly :) I only just managed to get £600 (also paid much more than that putting it together) for my Saeco CAAD7 with record on a few years ago!

Frame mint for 30 years old.
I guess that makes it quite rare?
-
• #36
In that its the only caad4 in the world that's 30 years old?
-
• #37
My caad2 must be worth a mint, holy shit
-
• #38
Caad4 are from '98 or '99 so a 30 year old one would have to be a super early prototype. Very rare indeed...

Wasn't expecting a grand but the rest of this has been LOLZ

I’m looking for a time fork if you still have one? I see you have also advertised this on adverts.ie
-
• #46
He has a time fork. Mint. He sees a lot of scruffy ones around, and this one is valuable because of condition and rarity, luckily he has both in this circumstance. He's also cleaned it which is worth at least £££s. £500, you know it makes sense.

Would you part out one of the bottle cages? Not sure which one yet though.

This sold a few months back I think, from France, 250e if I remember rightly, can't be arsed to search for it.
I’m also sorry to announce to you that rarity and condition are exactly what determine price!
