Finally gathered enough parts to rebuild both my holdsworths, both intended to be ridden long distances and loaded, just don’t have racks yet.
First up is the geared option, old school 105 8 speed. Shifting is fantastic and very solid feeling. Wheels are campag but no issues with indexing at all.
Next up is the path racer, fixed/free running 43/16. Ideally would love to tour on this but ultimately it’s about how fit I am when the date arrives. 25s because I’d like to fit mudguards when time and money allows.
Actually, opinions on guards welcome. I was thinking pdw, the dark grey ones.
Would have loved to be more matchy with the tyres, but these are mostly unused and were laying around so they’re on. I’ll get another panaracer when I can justify it.
