Amazing

Awesome. Happy for Yates. Even happier to seem Froome going backwards.

All the practice he's had lately, and Yates still can't cross the line in style. Always gets his arms up just as he shoots off the bottom of the screen.

Putting your hands up before the line is wasting seconds
-
• #17206
The chestpounding is quite okay. But he's wasted enough seconds gifting Chaves that win so no point doing it before the line.

Pinot the big loser today imo. He’s just sat there. And he ain’t half bad at TT. Most to gain.
Him and aru. Destined for great things but not able to deliver
Great ride Yates

Looked at another way, Pinot moved closer to the podium today

Just got this lulz

Edit. Posted a text message as a comment. It did sound very Carlton Kirby.

Reckon, barring a jour sans, Yates has this in the bag.

Last 3 stages before the final one look pretty horrific though. V easy to haemorrhage time if you’re not feeling good

Loved that. Proper balls out racing from Yates.
He looked properly shattered being interviewed post-stage. He’s been quite bright eyed after other stages.
Aru angrily waving the camera bike away was hard to watch.

Cool story this giro so far. Shame about aru

Hard to see anyone else winning this race now, he’s clearly the strongest in the mountains and has a decent gap for the TT. Amazing racing today.

Rohan Dennis finished before Froome today. Again.

Very rare / cool to see such aggression and a stage win, this late from the GC leader in a grand tour.
I watched S.Yates win the ToB Hay Tor stage (riding away from Quintana) in 2013 and was like ‘ok who is this guy?’. Such style!

Shame about aru
And Froome. Kinda.

I really can’t deal with Kirby any more. I want interesting info not shit chat.
I’ve email Eurosport half a dozen times to complain but no avail.
I’m going to start watching French streams.
fantastic racing today. Yates making them all look like 2nd cats.

Hebrew stream on cyclingfans is great, no ads and decent quality picture

To be fair on them, he does have priors 🤷🏿♂️

I don't know why I haven't been on these so far, that was great.
Yates getting emotional is great, you can see how much it means to him and maybe for the first time he's been able to step back and appreciate the position he's in, or started to believe he could actually win it.

Love the backstage pass, Jack Haig is a fav as well!
Or at least kept the damage within limits. Now it’s pretty hopeless
