Is buying second hand MTB kit really analogous to simply setting fire to money?
I had fun yesterday, but I’m not quite ready to drop almost 4K on a bike to have more fun.
Depends very much who you buy it from. I look after my stuff, and don't sell it if it's knackered.
Sadly, I have nothing to sell you.
I don't think the source of the kit really matters- mountain biking generally is akin to setting fire to money.
Personally I'd have a look at Scott xc full sussers- supposed to be excellent, and start around £1500. Can probably get some good deals by now.
I bet @coldharbour could sort you out with something suitable
Stating the obvious but obviously you don't need to spend £4k to have a useable mtb. 1x11 XT hard tail 29er with a 100mm fork, tubeless and modern geo will be half that and still very fun.
Ps I have your inner tube still.
