There was an old geez in the corner shop this morning, buying his 4 pack of strong lager. He was telling the guy behind the counter how he had to hurry back to catch the wedding. Then as he left, gave a big grin and said ‘am I bollocks - the only queen I like is the band (then to me) am I right squire?’ To which I gave a hearty ‘too right!’. Made me smile all the way home.

When asked at any point today if I was watching The "big wedding" I'd say why, who's getting married? I'd said Who's Megan Markle... Prince Harry? Do we have a Prince Harry? It left royalists foaming at the mouth while I baited them with my complete disinterest... satisfying. Gawd bless ya Ma'am types were in every coffee shop today. Their lives are so spectacularly divorced from those just keeping their heads above water I have little for royals.
