In response to a few questions:
We need some help trackside between 1-8PM (racing starts at 2 but we need to do a course orientation, explain roles in greater detail).
To ensure safe racing conditions, switched-on marshals are a vital componant of any event.
Essentially :
-Alerting riders and the next marshals along the course of accidents/track blockages in your section
-Paying attention to marshals up the course incase they wave their flags
-Keeping bystanders off the track (unlikely as this is)
-Expressing any concerns to the head marshal/security staffYou are free to take awesome raceside action photos but bring a neck strap for the camera so you can wave your flag at short notice.

If anyone is at a loose end from 1PM tomorrow we have some limited edition goodies for track-side helpers (plus food).
A few of us will be there from 12PM setting up, you are welcome to come early :D
On the day, arrive at the velodrome and go through the large grey gate to the right of the main entrance. If this is locked you can get reception to open it for you or just climb the stairs and go round the top (there are stairs leading down on the other side). Walk halfway round the building and you will see us setting up.
We’re looking for rad people on 2nd June to keep things running smoothly and help ThunderCrit live up to the hype.
If you can give us some of your precious time between 1-8PM to marshall trackside and be a vital cog in the running of the race then please email john (at) nltcbmbc.com or PM me here. We’ll look after you and make sure you get a some limited edition freebies in return for assisting with our community event.
Thanks!
