But @scottparsley said 'I have bought the seatpost-mount light'. Think Motoko's suggestion seems the most sensible. Then a just tiny bit of cable will go back down outside the seat post to the lamp.
I think the mudguard mounted son is the best. Means you can run a rack or not without re-wiring, and sits underneath saddlebags. The only drawback is having to use a mudguard. Which isn't a drawback as far as I'm concerned.
