Finally finished the camouflaging of the stache...It took a few nights of after work cutting, sticking and heat gunning the bits on, but now it's done, I'm really feeling it! The stache has a few scrapes and scuffs and a riding buddy of mine bought an identical one. It wouldn't normally bother me, but on a recent bike packing trip, he kept telling people I copied him and that we were sponsored. That's why he's known as 'the un-funny cunt'.
So, I'm going to get it sprayed at the end of the summer probably, but felt the need to change things immediately. I bought the sticky stuff from Wilko's (DC-Fix) ...it's like fablon, for the old farts amongst us. Anyway, it's my take on M90 arctic camo.... so google tells me.

I built myself a second Pelago Stavanger last week. But now an older lugged version in size 62cm and with custom prototype color. I built this to serve me in my gravel grinding needs and unpaved light touring in good weather. I'll keep this with flat pedals normally to be able to ride for beers without SPD shoes.

Question. 26" rims that are wider than 20mm and doesn't cost a fortune. Do they exist?
So far my searches have come up with nothing. -

Rim look good, but I'm pretty set on getting a set of silver Novatec hubs (cartridge bearing ftw)
Not sure it's feasible to send to Denmark. Project is a bit of a slow burner anyways. -

Those or the inferno 31 look to fit the bill.
I think aestethecally I prefer the rim profile of the Inferno though

hella spendy and probably a little on the wide side for 2"-2.3"
I'm going for sort of a poor man's Romanceur. -

I have some wide 26" rims sitting about, I can let you know what they are if you don't mind 2nd hand?
-
• #1574
Odd that they offer thru axel on the rear, but not the front.
-

Isn't the assumption that the thru axle crowd will be likely running a suss fork. QR/rigid for the retrogrouch / bikepacking lot.
Seriously considering one of these for a rigid/SS winter hack that's easily converted to a more capable trail bike in the summer.
yeah, was going to say, must be a fucking pain setting those pads up
