metro I found disappointing and dated - bit like the s.t.a.l.k.e.r series I guess but more 'on rails' compared to the relatively open world stalker games.

Metro 2033 / Last Light are great. Make sure to play the redux versions. They are on rails to a degree, but the story / game play is fun. I cannot wait for Metro Exodus

Yeah after playing open world games on rails one feel very odd but I've read the books so want ot get immersed in the story, and yep, have the Redux versions, they look incredible maxed out (I was even able to get them playable at 4K).

Stardew Valley just announced for Vita to be released in a week.

After the new update on PUBG mobile they added Games center login, which I did, however it did not bring over all my "Friends" so I would request people add me again (Chrisg116) in hopes we can play PUBG mobile together at some point.

Going back to level 0 is funny, obvs 99% bots as I've only not won one game so far, discounting the first one where I jumped out of a moving vehicle because I pressed exit rather than horn.

Been racking up a few squad PC dinners lately. very satisfying one just now when I was with my sole other surviving team mate and we were in one of those bull ring things on the Miramar map for the final zone. There were apartments around us and he took one side and I took the other - the zone was a perfect circle around the stadium and we just defended it as they tried to make it in. Good fun.

I have not played in weeks... might have to this weekend.

Just had a very satisfying squad game - didn't win but good fun on Miramar. Was the lone survivor (including my squad) on a Pecado drop. Squad got wasted moments after landing but I managed to scurry around and take out at least 3 other (depleted) squads. Then another squad across three vehicles drove in, sniped one while driving, the other two used their cars to block where they thought I was shooting from and got out to peek/heal their guy. I was not where they thought I was shooting from. Entire squad headshotted in less than ten seconds. Pretty fucking pleased with that. Then I got in one of their vehicles, ran over someone and would have got another after I jumped out but the zone got me. Got to last 10 with 14 kills which is far and away a record for me.

Holy shit thats good.

Animation is nice, seems you can do more moves/climbing. Lush textures. Solid sound design etc. But the character design isn't for me. Nor the voice acting.

Didn't watch the reveal last night with Trevor Noah - anything of note happen?

Such heavily scripted trailers don't give much away in terms of gameplay. Unless the gameplay is overwhelmingly OTT, which I guess is a possibility.

Haven't played a Battlefield/Front since 4 and I don't think this'll tempt me back in.

I enjoyed BF1 a lot but this seems a lot more... Quakey. Guess we'll wait and see.

PS - gameplay bits I referred to: the climb / vault at 1:22 seemed far higher than the usual 'you can climb over this perfect sized block or nothing' I'd expect. Similarly the slide and shoot a little while later. Maybe misremembering but can't recall that action from previous things.

Which will be nice as I like Fortnite but am rubbish at 3rd person shooters - much better at 1st person so Fortnite style gameplay via CoD would be right up my street.
