Have just been quoted 300 quid from Balfes to fix my second hand cannondale road bike, party due to my lack of maintenance, but also requires a new rear wheel, chain, service etc etc.
I would rather put that money towards a new/secondhand good quality bike that is ready to go.
I live in Streatham Hill and work in Waterloo, so needs to be able to go up Brixton Hill easy enough (slight gradient, nothing too major).
My friend has a Teman from Hackney Cycles and he said that it had been really good for the money he paid. But after doing some research it sounds like I should shell out some more money for something that will last a bit longer and perform better.
