You can get a Boardman SLR race, it's supposed to be under a kilo for £900?

Older generation Scott cr1s are pretty light and cheap on eBay.
-
• #657
theres a reason for that - rear wheel alignment issues.........i had one, ended up so bad it would run the inside of the rear stay and destroy the tyre + carbon.....
google : scott cr1 rear wheel alignment

Full carbon dropout mauled by incorrect QR tension?
This is the compelling case for Through Axles on full carbon frames.
-
• #659
The older CR1s had alloy dropouts. Hadn't noticed any alignment issues on my wife's CR1

I guess it proves there’s more to hill climbing than a light bike ;-)

aye carbon dropout on mine and wouldnt grip the rear wheel - and knackered the stay - when i did the above research my local Scott dealer said it was a known issue - as i was a second hand buyer, no warranty :/

Focus Cayos are only around 800g which is silly light for how cheap they were new/what they go for

How easy is it to get a suitable fork for a Supersix hi mod.
Tapered headtube 1 1/8 - 1.5".
What’s the cost roughly going to be? -
• #667
That’s standard taper. Super easy if you’re not fussed about a direct replacement dale one
-
• #668
Cheers seen a 63cm!! with no fork...
-
• #669
Finding one with enough steerer for 3 foot of headtube might be a different story

Hill climb season is going to be all about LFGSS this season.

Riding fixed, or ironically riding road bikes?
-
• #672
Er that was 2015

Go small for maximum HC gains. If anyone has a 52cm they’d like to swap I’m all ears.
R&D has begun for this season. Looking into a direct mount N/W chainring to save 80g

Surely the paint has to go...

I’m looking for a 44cm....
Ah fuck it I’ll just do hc this year.
