Older generation Scott cr1s are pretty light and cheap on eBay.

theres a reason for that - rear wheel alignment issues.........i had one, ended up so bad it would run the inside of the rear stay and destroy the tyre + carbon.....

Full carbon dropout mauled by incorrect QR tension?

This is the compelling case for Through Axles on full carbon frames.

The older CR1s had alloy dropouts. Hadn't noticed any alignment issues on my wife's CR1

aye carbon dropout on mine and wouldnt grip the rear wheel - and knackered the stay - when i did the above research my local Scott dealer said it was a known issue - as i was a second hand buyer, no warranty :/
