  • To the be-lycra-ed bellend riding fixed on a bike with 'speed weaponry' rims who overtook me on the inside as I was passing a left turning car, forcing me out into the traffic, and who then pedalled off at the next lights as I was telling him the error of his ways: grow up, and grow some balls. We all make mistakes: the best of us own them and say sorry.

  • I left my Zipps at home today. Must've been @rpm

  • White bike covered in stickers. He started saying something before he rode off but it sounded like he had had a stroke.

  • I was at the gym this morning and left barely able to pedal so I'm the last person undertaking anyone :)

What kind of cunt rides to work on Zipps though. Anyone with enough money to own Zipps has another set of wheels so riding Zipps to work is just the bike equivalent of using personalised plates...

(yeah maintenance, yeah racing after work, you're still a bellend if you do it :P)

  • I know it wasn't you. He was going at a snail's pace anyway, just a bit faster than me.

  • Driving through Bristol this morning saw proper nodder in action. Helmet was worn like an Easter bonnet with very loose straps. The combination of a steep hill and vigorous noddery resulted in helmet falling backwards and the straps pulling on her throat. She had to stop and remove helmet to avoid her personal defective equipment causing strangulation. Helmet was then reattached ensuring it is now protecting her handlebars

  • Deeply unpleasant ride through Sarf London this morning - traffic jams everywhere due to closure of the left turn from Kennington Park Road into Kennington Road at Oval.

Absolutely nuts - haven't seen it that bad in forever.

    Filtering/10

  • Her friends and family will be reassured that she never leaves home without it though. That's the important thing.

  • Would have been worse if it had been saarf London.

  • it was horrendous all the way from clapham north. talk about starting your day off right.

  • 3x as bad in Saaarf London

  • Cunts everywhere today. Watched a cyclist just missed getting squashed by a massive truck turning left, not the trucks fault either and quick reactions on his part not to hit said cyclist.

  • It all makes sense now. That was horrific. Think I'll have to leave earlier tomorrow.

  • I was busy riding over old ladies on the footpath while texting and drinking vodka. 8am lyf

  • Seen two people in the last two days carrying helmets.

Now this used to be a thing in Oz because you'd put it on if your saw the plod, but why in the UK would you carry a helmet but not wear it? It's worse than not carrying a helmet!

  • riding Zipps to work is just the bike equivalent of using personalised plates...

  • As @Brun says;

    "I'm off to work now."
    "Have you got your helmet?"
    "Yes mum"
gets round the first corner and takes it off...
    "Fuck the Police"

  • At least the person who takes it off isn't fooling themselves or anyone else (other than their mum) that they're wearing one.

  • It was awful. Sod’s law states that this was the one day of the year I had to drive my car (boo!) in rush hour. Took about half an hour to move it three streets away.

  • those CS7 delays (back to Clapham Common by the time I was heading into town) were roadworks north of Oval, right? Hopefully it's an emergency fix and not gonna be a 2018 'feature' : (
OTOH, I saw a white Felt(?) s/s with copper fenders. Oh my, that's some nice hardware.

  • This was like putting personalised plates on a bashed up old Ford Mondeo.

  • Gas works so say TfL Traffic News on twitter. Left turn was shut today, dunno when it's open again... Also, there will be other closures in future :3

  • So, they're probably on here then.

  • Marginal gains for commuter racing? Not everyone has your natural gift for crushing the competition...

  • Well I was riding a 65mm deep front wheel but I think w/ 32 spokes and a hub dynamo I gave back any wattage savings...

I hate riding deep wheels as it normally means fucking about with valve extenders or expensive tubes if I get a flat (which I will).
