@JB the other thing with those hot water taps is the water is proper rank. If you make a black tea, the scum that forms on the surface of the water is incredible. I assume it’s because it’s continuously heated like @StevePeel says, because the cold water from the same tap appears to be filtered so shouldn’t have limescale, or not much at least.
